How many of you love to wander the isles of the grocery store, throwing things in the cart that you probably don’t need but you might need for that recipe you read on Pinterest that would take far too long to make? So when our local grocery stores started their drive up grocery programs, I was ON BOARD!! You mean I can STOP grocery shopping? Yes….yes, I would like saving that hour of my week for something more important…. I opt to use Lowe’s Foods (based out of Hickory, NC – not available everywhere) for my shopping. Here is the deal. On Black Friday (and the week before school starts) they offer their “Food To Go” subscription for half price. That’s $49 per year. Normally it is $99 per year OR you can pay PER shop at $5 per order. Even with those fees, I have saved approximately $100 a week using this service. How could I possibly save THAT much?  Most grocery services have an app that you can download to your phone. Once the app is available, you sign up for your account and start your shopping experience. The best part of the app is: Since so many grocery stores are offering this service, you must use what you are comfortable with. Do you want a Walmart employee picking out your groceries? This is what makes my decision for me….. Personally, I haven’t used many of these services, so I searched some reviews to see if I could be persuaded to change from Lowe’s.
