INSIDE : AS THE JOURNEY TO RESET YOUR LIFE CONTINUES, WE MOVE TO UNDER THE KITCHEN SINK IN ONE DAY. I just realized I missed a very VITAL cabinet in my kitchen. I’m sure you can all agree – under the kitchen sink. DOH! SO what do you do when you realize in the middle of the day, while you are at work, that you NEED to finish a project? SIMPLE – call in reinforcements! TARGET drive up pick up! Disclosure Statement: The links in this post contain affiliate links and I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my link. Those funds help keep this site alive and kickin’ but it doesn’t cost YOU a thing! Click here for the full disclosure. Deal with the grossness I’m sorry but I really dislike this part of the kitchen! It’s gross. We’ve had problems with our garbage disposal….something about potato peels. No matter how much we dry it out and spray cleaning stuff….it smells horrible and gross stuff has grown down there. Spiders like it there…..no thanks. But alas, I need stuff to be stored down there. Cringe!!!! So I looked on Pinterest to see ideas that other people came up with but it seemed like none of the Pinterest ideas had garbage disposals?!?!? Mine is like in the middle of the right side….not many storage containers are going to fit in there. But I measured the space and realized that 2 things might work. Since I forgot about this area and had no supplies, I went on my Target app and started shopping my options. This white shelf organizer might work. But I went with the more complex under the sink storage. And since it gets so wet down there, I added some contact paper to my order. Ordered it for pick up, paid with my Target RED card – by the way if you don’t have one of these….what’s wrong with you?? I have the RED debit card. It’s not a credit card so no credit check, no monthly payments, and I can’t spend money I don’t have….just like my debit card!!! Start with the PURGE! Like all organizing projects…..remove everything from the cabinet! Throw away what doesn’t get used. I found orange scented furniture polish. I don’t even know where that came from because I don’t use furniture polish…I don’t like the film it leaves behind. So that went into the trash. I found dried out stainless steel cleaner wipes…..trash! Clean This cabinet needed more than a wipe….so I put some hot water in a bowl and grabbed a scrubber. I killed a spider. 🤢 I dried the cabinet with paper towels and then wiped with my fav….Mrs. Meyers. Dried again. I left the doors open for about an hour. Decoration This cabinet is soooo weirdly shaped. The contact paper wasn’t going to fit lengthwise, I didn’t want a ton of lines, and I’m lazy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I measured, cut, and laid the contact paper to cover the grossness. While putting together my organizer, I discovered that it would only fit on one side….bummer! I decided to clean off the things I was putting back in the cabinet. I ran them under hot water and wiped them off with a paper towel, nothing major! Honestly the cheaper white pieces would have been better. Finishing Up I kept frequently used items close to the front. As I was putting everything away, I realized I wanted 2 more things. A paper towel holder to hold the garbage bags and a plastic container to hold the dishwasher pods. My son (my personal assistant these days) was heading out to hang out with friends so I asked him to stop at the Dollar Tree and pick those up for me. Well…..apparently he thought that it would be opened till midnight?!? I don’t know but he didn’t stop. Guess I have an errand to run tomorrow. But for now, I’ll sleep better knowing there’s one less spider in my house! OHHHHH and since I have a choice about where to shop…….Target app – over the door paper towel holder and clear bins to hold the pods. ****UPDATE – the over the door trash bag holder did not work. It is impossible to insert the rolled up bags into the paper towel holder. So on the floor it sits! The before and after. Wanted to mention that the shopping bag organizer has been a lifesaver for many years now. This one worked best for me because I don’t like putting things on walls etc. And if you don’t know about Bar Keepers Friend, your life is not complete. Happy spider killing,

INSIDE : LEARN HOW TO ORGANIZE A COFFEE CABINET SO MORNINGS ARE LESS CHAOTIC AND MORE PRODUCTIVE. Coffee central. The gateway to the morning. The keeper of dreams. The place that no mother, father, or coffee lover can be without! Now if I could just find what I want………. Yesterday was part of my New Year reset and it felt so good to look in the cup cabinet to see exactly what I needed!!! Nothing was going to fall on my head when I reached for it. It feels really great to see progress. So today I tackle how to organize a coffee cabinet! Current State: Ummmmm……..I don’t even know what to say here…we drink a lot of coffee and tea…how does anyone find what they need?!?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Usually, we push things around to find what we are looking for and it just makes a bigger mess. This MUST stop! Always start here: 1 – Take everything out of the cabinet and PURGE! I found expired tea, protein powder, and trail mix in there…why? Why would trail mix be in there? Probably explains why it wasn’t eaten. There was an abundance of coffee cups. I couldn’t decide which ones I wanted to get rid of so I kept them all for now. But I have a feeling I will change my mind soon………..stay tuned for updates. 2 – Clean the shelves Wiping everything down with Mrs. Meyers made me realize, yet again, that cleaning cabinet shelves needs to be done more than once every 5 years… 3 – Organize – keep like things together While everything was still out on the counter, I gathered all like things together. Coffee and coffee creamer. All the tea. Cups. You get the idea. I decided to put the some of the tea in glass jars and eliminate some of the boxes and clutter. Also, I was able to fit all of our koozies in a glass jar…avoiding drawer clutter! ***UPDATE: I found a better way to store Koozies. Remember when I said “I’m lucky enough to have a beer/soft drink fridge in my garage?” Well, I thought, why wouldn’t the koozie storage be out there too? DUH! I kept a few inside with this and the rest moved outside with this. I decided to organize the K-cup pods with this rotating holder and display them on the counter. Mine was given to me, but this is similar. 4 – Replace your items in an orderly fashion Keep the important things closest to you. Heavy cups need to be on the bottom shelf, not the top. Don’t drink a TON of tea? Put the tea up top. ***Update: I found a WAY better way to organize tea. The glass jars did the trick for a little while but I still had too many in the original boxes. Instead of the glass jars I used this container and what a game changer. Do not put the things that didn’t belong in this cabinet back in there! Since this cabinet is a HUGE part of what I do every day, I found myself storing things in here that just did not make sense. Rubbing alcohol? Why would that be in this cabinet? I had to find it a new home! Finished product: 5 – Decorations Since my whole kitchen is themed around coffee, I decided while I was reorganizing the cabinet, I could give some love to the top too. I removed the wine carafe, washed it, and found it a new home. Gave the top a good dusting and found some ways to re-purpose old decorations. I also found this metal coffee tin online and bought it…..oops! I can’t find the same one to show you – but this is similar. This manual coffee grinder was found in an antique shop somewhere in the mountains of Georgia – but you can have your own here. Now for the before and after: Happy Organizing, Like what you see? Want to start your own journey – click here to get your FREE copy of a monthly cleaning calendar.

INSIDE : RESET YOUR LIFE WITH A NEW DINNER PLAN – WEEK BY WEEK RESET THE WAY YOU EAT AND RETHINK THE WORD DIET. I am so bored with dinners lately, how about you?? I feel like I find something that looks good and hesitate because the kids won’t eat it. Well, I’m done with that and you should be too. If they don’t like what is cooked, they can make their own dinner (within reason)! Those funds help keep this site alive and kickin’ but it doesn’t cost YOU a thing! Click here for the full disclosure. Keto is not a sustainable diet, actually the word “diet” is not what we think it is. No one should “go on a diet” but rather change what is in your diet! Diet – the food you eat, not the limits of what you can’t. SO here is my attempt at balancing our diet, not DIETING….we will see if we all survive. Dinner Plan All of these new menu items mean another trip to the grocery store. I had a few items on the list from the previous cabinet clean out…..doesn’t look like a cheap grocery week. Guess that’s the price for healthy eating. Good thing I have the “order online and pick up curbside” deal! Of course, there are plenty of places that deliver now……but……we have a favorite!!! Don’t know what I’m talking about? Check out this post. Be well,

And nothing should keep YOU down either. Go light today. Just a quick clean of the kitchen and some decluttering from the countertops. Disclosure Statement: The links in this post contain affiliate links and I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my link. Those funds help keep this site alive and kickin’ but it doesn’t cost YOU a thing! Click here for the full disclosure. Go from counter to counter, put everything back in its actual home, and clean the countertops with Mrs. Meyers. Replace only what should be there. Easy peasy…..but what fun would that be?!? I broke out the bread maker. When I asked for this for my birthday years ago, I had high hopes. Never really panned out. But since I’m sticking to the no fast food & no frozen or ordered out/in pizza….I had to give my kids something fun. So I made pizza dough in the bread maker. The hope is it will be fun to make the pizza and it will turn out yummy. We shall see. I’ll update tomorrow. Be well, Follow along with your own downloaded calendar to reset your life.

INSIDE: COME FIND OUT HOW WE REARRANGE AND SHOW YOU PRACTICAL SPICE AND BAKING CABINET MAKEOVER IDEAS! Sunday’s are hard for me….back to work, back to school – reality…it really does bite!! But I decided this Sunday would be spice & baking cabinet makeover day! Since Sundays tend to be our “stay home and get stuff done” days, I always start with laundry. With 5 people to wash for, this task takes all day! Especially if I add sheets and blankets…. AND – since there is nothing worse than going to do the laundry to find out you have no soap…..Enroll in the Amazon save and subscribe service. You can get 5-15% off each purchase. Life saver changer! Disclosure Statement: The links in this post contain affiliate links and I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on my link. Those funds help keep this site alive and kickin’ but it doesn’t cost YOU a thing! Click here for the full disclosure. The other thing I decided to tackle was a really specific, unruly set of kitchen cabinets. They are side by side and house all baking and cooking necessities. Do you have cabinets that look like this? I’m not alone right??? A few years ago, I saw this Pinterest post about a spice cabinet redo, it inspired me to do the same. Unfortunately, I did not keep up with our spices and it has become a hectic mess again. To be fair, my husband uses the majority of these so….I blame him 😂. Turns out he never liked my system and requested that I remove the ‘debauchery’ from the kitchen. I thought that was a little harsh, but I complied with his request and removed the cumbersome jars with lids that didn’t really keep moisture out. Two notes on this: As with all organizing journeys, start here: 1 – Remove As I was removing everything from these cabinets, I discovered that my children make messes in places they shouldn’t even have access to… New RULE: no more sprinkles! Jeez Louise! Heathens!!! 2 – Purge As with every organizing journey, get rid of the things that you don’t need or will not use. I found expired jello packages, 300 paper cupcake wrappers, 3 things of paprika, 3 things of peppercorns, 2 sea salt jars, and a ton of Italian seasoning…..I combined what I could and tossed the rest! Since I threw out some things I know I use (by process of elimination; not taste testing), I quickly added them to my grocery list on my phone so I won’t forget them. And of course, I wiped the cabinets down with my favorite Mrs Meyers! 3 – Organize like things together Remember to organize like things together. In these cabinets, it seemed like a simple fix to the chaos…my SPICE and BAKING cabinets need a makeover. Meaning – separate them!!! By putting all of the baking supplies on one side and spices on one side, finding what I need will be a piece of cake. So I sorted them on the countertop (with a little help from a girl after my own heart) into baking goods and spices. As I was throwing away the (previous) glass spice jars, it dawned on me that I had sort of the right idea with uniformity. But I did it backward….spices in glass jars??? Let’s try it with the baked goods instead; and then plastic for the spices. YUP!!!!! What do I need: 4 – Labeling With my new Cricut, I made some really cute labels. This was my first (by myself) project and it worked out so well….I can’t wait to label everything in my house!!! Just kidding! I made labels for all baking supplies: I missed 3 – Chocolate chips (white and milk chocolate) and tapioca. Because I don’t always have those on hand….so we’ll see if I need labels for those later. Remember the key is labeling so you don’t have to taste test!!!!! Next, labels for Spice Cabinet: Again, I had some help with the labeling. I think the girls like the Cricut as much as I do! It’s easy to use and it’s so satisfying to see the pretty outcome! 5 – Let’s put them away Remember, it has to make sense to YOU! For us, more common things need to be close and easy to reach. I found a stacking shelf for the spices, it gave me more room and allowed my husband to be able to see the spices. I had a lot of fun doing this…I know weird right? My little helpers enjoyed pouring the spices into their new containers and placing them back on the shelves. Are you ready for the side by sides? Before and afters: Be well,
