INSIDE: TAKE A WALK INTO OUR HOME’S NEWEST EASTER DECORATION. CHEERY, BRIGHT COLORS TO MAKE EVERYONE FEEL BETTER ABOUT BEING AT HOME MORE THAN USUAL!
It’s time to take down the St. Patty’s decorations….while I don’t think a single person celebrated St. Patrick’s special day…..let’s get ready for Easter. Warmer weather is on the way and hopefully good news on the horizon. I’m thinking that these bright colors will lift everyone’s spirits!
Last year, we used the console table and the kitchen table to make the most of our decorating pleasures.
Here is last year’s decor –
This year, I have gathered all of my brightest flowers, table toppers, and candles and decided that I am going to try to decorate for Easter a little different.
Let’s start with what I have on hand. Because there will be no traveling to our favorite craft store, dollar store, or even shopping online……
Current supplies
- Spring flowers (fake ones)
- Vases
- Table runners x2
- Easter Egg trees
But I need new decor…..I have paint, terracotta pots, and a Cricut….hmmmmm.
I’m getting an idea….we will get to that in a minute.
Once I had my decorations out, I realized that I had a few things that I didn’t use last year and some things that I can move around.
Since the console table just got a makeover, I was excited to use it for some more decoration. First, I put my Easter/Spring table runner there and started to put together the decorations.
The tulips stayed in the vase from last year and added the kid’s craft from last year. I didn’t display it last year, so this was a great way to get that cutie thing out there!
I added a terracotta pot that we painted. Want to see how I did that? I’ll show you here.
I love my Dr. Seuss like Easter Egg sprays.…..
And of course, no Easter/Spring decorating adventure is complete without a GIANT flower arrangement! Flowers are like paint – they can make a huge difference with little effort.
Our mantle also gets a pretty makeover during most holidays. This year, I kept the Easter decor simple here.
The last thing I did was add the last table runner to the kitchen table. I wish I could snag a picture but there are busy children doing e-Learning there right now. And we cannot disrupt that process….
So even though I couldn’t go get the millions of things I wanted at the store…I made the most of my time. The bright colors cheered everyone up….OH I almost forgot, I put an Easter wreath on the door so my neighbors could feel festive too.
What is your favorite time of year to decorate? Do you go overboard for any of them?
Happy Decorating,
