INSIDE: MAKE YOUR OWN DIY EASTER POT WITH THINGS YOU ALREADY HAVE IN YOUR GARAGE!

Since we are practicing social distancing, we came up with a fun way to make Easter decorations with what we had. Well, it wasn’t much….but we did it!

See how we turn a plain terracotta plant pot into a charming Easter decoration.

Supplies

Well, I have a bunch of paint samples in my garage from various different things and I either never used them, or I didn’t use all of them. I am amazed at all the colors I found.

I let my youngest kiddo pick the color to use on this project. She didn’t even hesitiate….PINK!

The pot was sitting in the garage BUT……if you need one like this –

Check out how you can order online and pick up in store……

Directions

  1. Wash the pot – I have used this pot for plants before so a good scrub with warm soapy water was all it needed.
  2. Starting with the inside of the pot, paint on your bright color (I used 2 coats)
  3. Paint the outside of the pot with the white paint – this took 2 coats
  4. Using the Cricut Design Space, decide what your pot is going to say…..
  5. Make the design – I found a cute font at dafont.com
  6. Place your project on the dry surface of the pot and transfer it….using skinny fonts is a pain, in case you didn’t know!!!!
  7. Dream about how one day you will be able to go back to your favorite stores and not have to worry about becoming a cast member of the Walking Dead.

I have vision of putting a stuffed bunny upside down in this pot, but I don’t have a way to keep him from falling in right now. I will think of something.
