Project Backyard…part 2
The construction work is done!!!!!!!!!!!
Now we have to add water. We started filling Saturday morning but only one hose at a low level. Of course, we promised the kids they could swim once it was half way filled. That did NOT happen on Saturday.
By Sunday, the kids were itching….the anticipation was too much!!!!!
By then, we were given the green light to turn on 2 hoses and crank them up full blast! This helped….a LOT! While middle child was waiting, she decided to learn how to care for the pool and told us SHE would be our ‘pool boy!’ 🤷🏻♀️
Since the water level was rising, we decided we would have our first guests over later that night. And the kids got in right at the half way mark!!!!
How sad is it that I didn’t get ONE picture of them enjoying the pool?!! Not gonna lie, it was because I was in there with them.
Not really….while they were swimming Kris and I were doing work! I finished the teak furniture, he tore down the screens around the patio, installed a ceiling fan, and a changed out a light. We found this perfect umbrella to shade us while on our ‘future loungers’ and the side step.
We have a lot left to do to make this the outdoor paradise we want it to be…but baby steps! For now we are all enjoying swimming and picking out the perfect furniture piece to add.
