Paw Patrol is a HUGE hit in our family. We all love those pups!!! So for a certain pair of 4 year olds, we planned the perfect Paw Patrol Birthday!

Keeping to my fool proof planning guide (sign up and receive your free copy)…..

Theme

My sister and I consulted with the kids on the theme. They agreed to Paw Patrol and off we went.

Location

As I’ve mentioned before, I love having kids parties at my home because I can do so much more. Such as, have a variety of food items, decorations, and we can have the party at our own pace. More on these things in a minute.

Date

Since one kid’s birthday is in March, the other is May and we wanted to wait for school to be out, we picked June 5th. Most of our parties are on Saturday, but for this one we did Sunday afternoon because there was a concert in town on Saturday.

Invitations

For this party, I went on Etsy and searched for Paw Patrol. I found a TON of super cute invitations. After purchasing the invitation from an Etsy store, I printed the invitations at Walgreen’s. A 4×6 print is 23 cents…..so $5.99 for the personalized, digital invitation and $7 for 30 prints.

I blurred the phone number and address, but wanted you to see the great quality.

Decorations

Next, we went to my favorite place…. TARGET! They had almost everything we needed for decorations including plates, table cover, napkins, and party favors. Remember – you can order by clicking here and drive up to pick up. We also made our own centerpieces.

Food

Now for the NUM NUMs!!!! I found these super cute dog food bowls at Dollar Tree, they were perfect for our kid friendly finger foods.

I found the printable food labels on Pinterest. We tried to give everything a “Paw Patrol” food name like these “Chickaletta chicken nuggets.”

I have ton of colorful trays and bowls from various different parties, which we use for almost every party now.

Menu

  • Cheeseburger Sliders
  • Homemade cheese pizza
  • Chicken nuggets
  • “Pigs in a blanket” or hot dogs wrapped in crescent rolls
  • Popcorn
  • Cheese balls
  • Fruit tray

As for a cake…..we like cupcakes much better. When thinking about children and cakes….I kinda cringe. Messy, sticky, sugar……BUT what is a birthday without cake/cupcakes?

Homemade with love…..not by me.
I have a very wonderful friend that loves to make cupcakes!

Games (or lack thereof)

For this party, I did not plan any games. The kids wanted to open presents and play with whatever they got. I was completely fine with this idea. When we have double parties, like this one, we stay pretty busy.

Goody Bags

Now, let’s talk about the goody bags, I cannot say this enough…..do not waste your money on useless, pointless stuff. Do not send kids home with things that make a mess, annoy parents, or cause hyperactivity. It’s just mean!!!

I found little stuffed puppies in bulk here, enough for each kid to “adopt” one and take it home. Using these printed adoption certificates, each child named their puppy before they got their goody bag. The goody bags also had a pencil, a keychain/dog tag, ruler, and a bag of veggie straws.

Remember the most important part of all of this……HAVE FUN!!!!

Happy Partying,
