I LOVE FALL so much I have already decorated for it. HOWEVER, I was not sure I could get away with decorating for Halloween before October hit. Since we have crossed the threshold of October, come decorate for Halloween with us!

First, let me explain something important – I have collected many of these things over the years. Some are new, some are old, some are made by me, some are made by others….BUT it takes time to collect these things.

Several years ago, we had a Halloween party…on Halloween. It went so well, we did it again the next year. I would love to have another one, but I don’t have time this year.

Let’s recap what I already have up:

I have preserved my entryway table for some Halloween decorations, as I have done with Christmas, Valentines, St. Patty’s, and Easter. I have more room outside so I will utilize that area too!

Here is an example of some old and some new. The lighted pumpkin was a gift from one of my favorite aunts several years ago. And my new candlesticks are from my in-laws. As you can see, I used my homemade popcorn tealight wax warmer, a cloth pumpkin, and a pumpkin candle to liven up the candlesticks for this holiday. The “flower arrangement” is filled with glitter witch’s brooms from The Dollar Tree. And a new fall table runner – similar to this one.

I added a spider floral arrangement to the mantle using one spider and rose combo, a vase, and some crumpled up green tissue paper.

Moving outside – I have no idea where I got this skeleton garland but it has been around for several years. The “trick or treat” sign on the door was a find AFTER Halloween last year. And no kid friendly home is complete without window clings.

My lovely hanging witch, pumpkin, and ghost have seen better days, I keep fixing them….we’ll see if they make it through this year.

I decided to add a few more things to the mantle. Using a cloth spider web and orange string lights, I made the mantle a little spooky, according to the girls. To add fuel to their fire, I tied up some spiders and a skeleton into the web.

We had one more string of lights, so my little helper came up with a genius idea. She enlisted some helpers too.

I found this super cute pumpkin at the local craft store. They had a taller one, but it didn’t have the same colors. This one fits the decor of my home already….seemed like a no brainer.

And now, I am done. Pretty sure everyone in the house thinks I “over did it.” But I love it! Oh, and we still have our pumpkins to get….I’ll update you when we get those.

Happy decorating,
